Ingredients For Air Fryer Chicken Tikka Wraps
When I make chicken tikka wraps in the air fryer, I use:
Mini Chicken Breast Fillets – You can also use full-sized breasts cut into strips or other chicken pieces.
Turmeric
Chilli Powder
Garam Masala
Garlic Puree
Cumin
Pinch Salt
Olive Oil – This is for the marinade and to grease the crisper tray in your air fryer. Other oils are fine, too.
Tortilla Wraps – Corn or flour.
Full-Fat Natural Yoghurt – Greek Yogurt is good too.
Mint Sauce—This is a simple yoghurt and mint sauce that tastes great with tikka chicken. But it’s not essential. You could also put mayo on your wraps.
Salad, Cucumber and Spring Onions – Just to add to your wraps, any salad bits are fine, too.

You’ll Also Need
As a guide, I use:
- Food thermometer (affiliate link)
- Silicone tongs (affiliate link) to flip the chicken.
- Sharp knife and chopping board to prepare the salad.
- A large, lidded Tupperware tub to marinade your chicken.
How to Air Fry Chicken Tikka Wraps – Step-by-Step Instructions
Full, easy-to-follow instructions and quantities are available in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.
Step One
Place the chicken, spices, salt and a tablespoon of oil in a large, airtight tub and mix well. A big Tupperware-type tub is ideal.
Seal and place in the fridge for at least two hours. Overnight is better if you can.

Step Two
When ready to cook, rub the crisper tray in your air fryer with oil or spray if you use a spritzer bottle.
Step Three
Preheat to 200 degrees C, setting for 10 minutes. If your machine doesn’t have a preheat setting, just set it for 12 minutes and give it time to warm up before you add the food.
Step Four
Carefully place the chicken on the air fryer tray in a single layer. I tend to cook mine in two batches, but you might be able to do one if you have more space.

Step Five
Air fry for 10 minutes, carefully turning after 5.
Step Six
Use a food thermometer to ensure the chicken has reached 75 degrees C before serving. If you don’t have a food thermometer, cut the biggest piece of chicken in half to ensure it’s piping hot and cooked through. I really recommend a thermometer for all air fryer cooking, though.

Step Seven
While the chicken is cooking, mix the yoghurt and mint and spread them liberally on the wraps. You can also spread it with any other condiments you want to use.

Step Eight
Add three mini fillets and salad.

Step Nine
Wrap tightly and serve.

Serving Suggestions
I typically serve my air fryer chicken tikka wraps with homemade potato wedges and coleslaw.
They are also great with corn on the cob, sweet potato wedges, air-fried vegetables and chips.
Anything you’d serve with a sandwich or a burger, really.

Variations
There are a few things that you can do differently.
The main one is how you serve your wraps. You can add different salad bits. Tomatoes, bell pepper and red onion would be really good.
Mango Chutney
Adding mango chutney to your chicken wraps, either with the yoghurt or on its own, works really well. You could also add a store-bought mint chutney.
Serve with Different Bread
I’ve used just standard flour tortillas. You could also use fluffy flatbreads, naan bread, or anything else you can wrap around chicken.
Leftovers
Leftover chicken tikka is excellent on wraps again, in a salad, or even with curry sauce for a chicken tikka masala.

How Do You Reheat Chicken Tikka in the Air Fryer?
To reheat chicken tikka fillets in the air fryer, use the reheat setting if your machine has one, or reheat at 150 degrees C for about 10 minutes. Use a thermometer to make sure they are cooked before serving.
I recommend sprinkling a little water on the chicken to stop them from drying out too much.
You can also reheat your chicken in the microwave.
