Cook frozen sausages in the air fryer for a quick, easy, and delicious meal! Crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and healthier than frying—perfect for effortless family dinners.

I love sausages. Whether it’s a sausage and egg sandwich for breakfast, a sausage casserole, or good old sausage and chips, they are lovely!

I also love air fryer cooking!

While I love a fancy sausage or something fun like a bratwurst, I also love cheaper pork sausages, and we’ve always got some in the freezer for when we need them.

Air fryer sausages are delicious, and honestly, since we bought our air fryer, it’s the only way I’ve cooked them.

Why Air Fry Frozen Sausages

I air fry all my sausages, whether fresh or frozen, because:

  • Sausages are the base of lots of our family dinners and cooking them in the air fryer means you can be prepping other ingredients at the same time.
  • Air frying sausages is quick and easy.  It’s barely an air fryer recipe. More a how-to!
  • Air-fried sausages are healthier than shallow-fried sausages.
  • Air fryer sausages are golden brown, with crispy outsides and tender middles. Just how I like my sausages.
  • You can air fry frozen sausages on the crisper tray in your air fryer drawer or air fryer basket. You don’t need a tray or any other equipment.
  • Sausages release plenty of fat as they cook, so you don’t need to add any extra oil.

How to Serve Air Fryer Sausages

You can serve air fryer frozen sausages with chips on a sandwich or with any other sausage meal.

You could throw them in a casserole or even a curry, cooking for a few minutes less so they are lightly browned (I’d check after 10 minutes) and then following the specific recipe, as you would with sausage browned in a pan.

You could even serve them with potatoes and vegetables.

Leftovers

Leftover air fryer sausages can be kept and reheated another time.

Leave them on the side to cool, then cover them and place them in the fridge for 1-2 days.

Reheat for a few minutes in the microwave or using your air fryer reheat setting for around 10 minutes, making sure they are piping hot in the middle before serving.
