Ingredients For Air Fryer Sausage Traybake

You don’t need much for an air fryer sausage bake recipe. I use:

Red Onion

Peppers – Your favourite colours.

Courgette

Baby Potatoes

Pork Sausages – Your favourites, or even budget sausages are fine.

Olive Oil – Other cooking oils are fine too, but I don’t recommend low-calorie cooking sprays, which can damage your air fryer. I don’t even use them in a frying pan anymore.

Salt and Black Pepper

Cajun Seasoning

Step Seven

Cook for a few minutes longer, if needed, and serve straight from the basket. The sausages should be over 71 degrees C. I recommend using a food thermometer, but if you don’t have one, make sure you cut a sausage in half to make sure the centre is cooked and piping hot.

Variations

You can change everything when you make an air fryer sausage bake.

Use your favourite sausages, change the veggies to suit your tastes, add some cherry tomatoes for the last five minutes, and experiment with different spices and seasonings.

Some recipes add chicken stock and bake in a tin, but I prefer a drier traybake, adding sauce after if we want to.

Leftovers

Leftover air fryer sausage and vegetables can be reheated in the air fryer (use the reheat setting if you have one) or in the microwave.

How long for will depend on how much you’ve got left, but make sure the sausages are piping hot before serving.

I recommend using a food thermometer to make sure they have reached over 71 degrees C inside.

Storage

Store leftovers in a sealed air-tight fridge tub for up to two days.
