Quick, easy, and oh-so-tasty! These Air Fryer Fish Finger Wraps are a game-changer for busy weeknights. Crispy fish fingers, fresh fillings, and your fave sauces – dinner sorted in no time!

So you can make pretty much anything in an air fryer. It’s basically a powerful, countertop fan-assisted oven. They aren’t always fantastic for baking, but for basic recipes and warming things up, fantastic.

One of the best things about the air fryer is that because you are heating a much smaller space, it cooks things quickly without using as much energy as the oven.

But, there’s four of us. So often, I need the space of a full oven to get a full meal cooked, even if that meal is just chicken nuggets and chips.

This means that while I do occasionally cook for us all in my air fryer, it gets most of its use for super quick meals like this air fryer fish finger wrap recipe when I’m eating on my own or when I just need it for the fish fingers, and there’s enough space.

I make plenty of toasties, wraps and melts!

Why I Love Air Fryer Fish Finger Wraps

I love this Fish finger wrap air fryer style because:

  • Fish fillets in breadcrumbs, whether haddock or cod, are fairly healthy, high in omega-3 and great for the kids.
  • Fish is a great source of protein.
  • The air fryer means that the cooking time is lower.
  • You can probably fit 16 fish fingers in the air fryer, so while this recipe is for one, you could make enough to feed a family.
  • It’s like cheats Fish finger tacos!
  • They taste delicious.
  • Wraps make a super quick and easy dinner.

Ingredients For Air Fryer Fish Finger Wraps

When I make quick and easy fish finger wraps in the air fryer, I use:

Frozen Fish Fingers

Wrap – I use either white or seeded flour tortilla wraps, but you can use whatever you usually would. For four fish fingers, they need to be large.

Sweet Chilli Sauce

Mayonnaise

Romaine Lettuce – Baby Gem and cos are great too, anything crisp and crunchy.

Cherry Tomatoes

How to Air Fry Fish Finger Wraps – Step-by-Step Instructions

Full, easy-to-follow instructions and quantities are available in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.

Step One

Preheat your air fryer to 200 degrees C and set for 12 minutes. If your air fryer doesn’t have a preheat setting, just set it for 14 minutes and add the fish fingers two minutes in to give it time to reach temperature.

Step Two

Carefully add the fish fingers.

Step Three

Air fry for 12 minutes, carefully flipping halfway. I actually don’t always do this, but it does make for a more even golden fish finger.

If you do flip, use silicone tongs.

Step Four

Spread a tortilla wrap with sweet chilli sauce, lettuce, tomato, cucumber and a drizzle of mayo.

Step Five

Add the fish fingers, making sure they are piping hot first.

I recommend using a food thermometer and returning to the air fryer if needed.

Step Six

Wrap tightly. I leave one end open so I can stuff more in!

Another option is returning to the air fryer once wrapped, seam down, and air frying for 1-2 minutes to crisp the wrap and help it to stay in shape.

What to Serve with Fish Finger Wraps

I serve my fish finger wraps differently depending on when we’re eating them. For lunch, I might have a bowl of coleslaw and some crisps, or perhaps some corn on the cob and a side salad with a Squeeze of Lemon.

For dinner, I might add something more filling like potato wedges or fries with some vegetables like peas.

Variations – What to Put in a Fish Finger Wrap

The main variation is what else you put in your wrap.

When it comes to fish finger wrap sauce, I love a sweet chilli sauce and mayo option, but tartare sauce is perhaps a more popular option.

I also add slices of cucumber, lettuce and chopped tomatoes.

Other fish finger wrap ideas include a bit of grated cheese, some red onion, sliced peppers, tomato ketchup, and any other salad options you might usually put on a wrap.

I don’t tend to oil my air fryer basket, but if you find that things like fish fingers stick to your tray, add a spray of olive oil before starting.
I recommend using a food thermometer to make sure your fish is over 72 degrees C. If not, return to the air fryer for a few more minutes and test again.
