Now that the weather is improving, many of us are looking for salad recipes for summer lunches and easy dinners.

I like my salads to have some crunch, plenty of colours, something filling like pasta or potatoes, and a delicious dressing.

Not going to lie, a bit of cheese never hurts either!

When it comes to dressings, I favour creamy or fruity, and preferably both.

This creamy orange salad dressing recipe is easy and delicious and tastes fantastic with things like beetroot, halloumi, pasta and chicken, or just as a dressing for a basic green salad on the side of another meal.

A citrus salad dressing like this is really refreshing and perfect for those warm summer days.

Ingredients for Creamy Orange Salad Dressing

You don’t need anything fancy for this easy orange salad dressing. I use:

Olive Oil

Greek Yoghurt – I find that full-fat works best.

Fresh Orange Juice

Orange Zest

Honey

Salt and Pepper

orange, honey, oil, yoghurt and salt and pepper on table.

How to Make Orange Salad Dressing

Put it all in a bowl or jug, and whisk, or stir, it all together. You don’t need a blender or anything like that.

Taste, and add more orange, or yoghurt to suit your tastes.

What to Do with Homemade Salad Dressing

I love this salad dressing with oranges on a quick and easy salad with cos or iceberg lettuce for crunch, something like beetroot, or cherry tomatoes for juice, and then halloumi cheese or chicken.

You can use it on any homemade salad though.

How to Store Creamy Orange Salad Dressing

This recipe makes enough dressing for 2-3 salads, so if you make it on the day, there might not be any left to save.

If you have got any left, or you are making ahead of time, store it in the fridge in a sealed jar or tub, for a day or two. I wouldn’t keep it for any longer than this.

Other Healthy Recipes

I don’t massively do healthy recipes. I do easy recipes and nice flavours, but there are some healthy-ish recipes that I love. These include:

salad with chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes and pasta in white pasta bowl with fork.
salad with beetroot and halloum in a bowl. Small ramekin with orange salad dressing to the side.
