Brownies through the post? What could be better! I jumped at the chance to review these Brownies from Bad Brownie, and they certainly didn’t disappoint!
This is a post written in collaboration with Bad Brownie. I have been paid to write this review and gifted the product. All opinions expressed are my own, and all information is correct at the time of writing.
I don’t normally like writing reviews. I’m always a bit worried that if someone sends me something to review, and especially if it’s a paid collaboration, then I’m obliged to say nice things about them.
I’m too honest, and frankly, blunt, for this to really work. So, you can imagine how happy I was when the brownies I received from BadBrownie.co.uk were in fact delicious.
I mean, perhaps not quite as good as mine. But, certainly better than many others, and they’d definitely make a great gift or treat for yourself.

What is BadBrownie.co.uk
Bad Brownie offer a mail-order brownie service. It’s not a subscription, just an online store.
You can order a range of brownies including Salted caramel, triple chocolate, Ferrero, peanut butter, chocolate orange & white chocolate raspberry in boxes of 12, 16 and 24 bites with prices starting at around (at the time of writing) £14.50.

You can order brownies for yourself or as a gift for someone else.

Packaging
My brownies arrived with DPD, who gave me a 1-hour delivery slot, and a completely contactless delivery. They were wrapped in a DPD delivery bag, which I opened to find a sturdy bad brownie branded box. The brownies were also wrapped tightly in paper.

Despite my opening them upside down, they came out in perfect condition, and as soon as I started to open the box, I could smell the rich chocolatey delights within.
The box also contained some marketing materials, and a flyer telling me about the flavours in my box, including allergen information, ingredients, and nutritional information.
What Do They Taste Like?
Actually really really good. As I say, they smelt fantastic, and I was keen to try them as soon as possible (before the kids got in from school and scoffed the lot!)

We received a box of 12 brownie bites, 4 each of Triple Chocolate, Ferrero and salted caramel.
They are fairly small bites (or maybe this is just because I usually make giant brownies!) but we all had 2 each for pudding, and the kids took a bite to school in their packed lunch the next day. They are a great size for lunch box treats, or with an afternoon coffee.

The kids absolutely loved the triple chocolate, and while they don’t have much experience with Ferrero Rocher, as soon as I said “the flavours like Nutella” they were in, and definitely enjoyed the slightly crispy texture.
I’m a bit funny about caramel, it’s never been one of my favourites, and I totally don’t get this desperation to put some salt into it and add it to absolutely everything that we’ve got at the moment. But, actually, the sticky caramel in-between two layers of rich chocolate brownie was gorgeous. Probably my favourite of all of them to be honest!

Are Postal Brownies Still Gooey?
Brownies are actually the ideal food to be delivered in a box. As long as they are well baked, and packaged, which these from BadBrownie.co.uk are, the fact that brownies start fudgy, and don’t dry out for a long time, gives them a big advantage.
When my brownies arrived they seemed just cooled out of the oven fresh. Wonderfully fudgy and soft, with that stick to your teeth texture that all good brownies should have.

How Long Will Brownies Ordered Online Last?
Bad Brownie says “Our brownies keep for 10 days at room temperature, 2 weeks in the fridge, and can be frozen for up to 3 months.”
Mine, obviously lasted for less than 24 hours (if you can keep a brownie in your fridge for 10 days, you are a better woman than I!) but, I can’t see why they wouldn’t last for the advertised times. They are certainly still delicious the next day, and the texture doesn’t change at all in that first 24 hours. If you are worried though, you can always pop them in a sealed tub or bag in the fridge.

The Bottom Line
Brownies from Badbrownie.co.uk are yummy. They’d make a fantastic gift or treat for your family!
