Salt
1
Teaspoon
White Sugar
7
g
Sachet of Fast Action Yeast
1
Tablespoon
Cooking Oil

325
ml
Warm Water
Instructions
Mix the flour and salt in a large mixing bowl.
Add the sugar and yeast and mix well.
Make a well in the centre of the mixture.
Pour in the warm water and oil.
Mix with a wooden spoon, taking care to scrape around the sides and bottom, until it forms a rough dough.
Tip out onto a well-floured surface and knead for 10 minutes, adding more flour, if necessary, until it forms a smooth ball.
Lightly oil the mixing bowl, place the ball of dough in it and cover loosely with a clean towel.
Leave for 1 hour, until the dough has roughly doubled in size.
Tip onto a floured work surface and roll into a long sausage.
Cut into 8 equal (ish, I’m bad at this part!) slices.
Roll into balls and press down slightly (don’t flatten) to form small burger bun-type shapes.
Place on two lightly floured baking trays, cover loosely and leave for 45 minutes.
Bake at 180 degrees C (fan-assisted) for 25 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and leave to cool fully before slicing.
Notes
I don’t preheat the oven.
