Add the cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar for the filling and a small splash of water.
Mix together well.
Place in the air fryer basket.
Air fry for 5 minutes.
Carefully stir, and add a splash more water if it’s very dry.
Air fry for another 5 minutes.
While the apples are cooking, prepare the crumble by placing all of the ingredients in a small bowl.
Rub the butter in with your fingertips until the mixture resembles uneven breadcrumbs.
After ten minutes, carefully remove the apples from the air fryer.
Sprinkle the crumble liberally onto the apples, creating a level top.
Sprinkle over a little more sugar.
Carefully place it in the air fryer basket and set it to 180 degrees C for 10 minutes.
Air fry for 10 minutes until the top is golden.
