Ingredients
For the Fruit Filling:

Large Apples
peeled, cored and chopped into 1-2cm chunks

Large Pears
peeled, cored and chopped into 1-2cm chunks

For the Crumble:

Plain Flour

Porridge Oats

Soft Light Brown Sugar

Instructions
To make the crumble add the flour, oats, sugar and butter to a large mixing bowl.
Rub together with clean hands, until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs, and is even.
Set to one side.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (fan-assisted) and find a large ovenproof dish.
Peel and chop the apples and pears and place in a large bowl.
Sprinkle on the cinnamon and nutmeg, and mix with a wooden spoon until it’s mixed through the fruit.
Tip into the ovenproof dish and spread out evenly.
Sprinkle over the crumble topping until the fruit is covered and the top is even.
Bake in the middle of the oven for 30 minutes until the top is browning.
Notes
If you are using margarine, you won’t need as much. Start by rubbing in 3 tablespoons and then add more as needed, a little at a time.
